OOC: Ooki.. Understanding that Nukie has yet to post... And knowing full well that my fingers can't wait another day... I think I'll wait a bit until moving onto the story line.

IC:
The girl took extreme pleasure in watching the tall heavy blade turn a dark shade of crimson. Oh how she loved to see them turn red. But she couldn't watch all day. The matter of the immobility of her legs was what concerned her most. To any other player who turned accusing eyes to Rei, the strange human-like outbursts that sprang from the girl went for the most part unnoticed. The girl relished in the thought that human minds were so easily distracted, leaving a good deal of time for her to edit her own data.

Yet Rei's anger soon took action. It wasn't the fact that he swung his sword threateningly at her; everyone was well aware that the attack and skill command had been disabled in the safety of a root town. Having Rei attempt to attack only served to enrage the crowd even more. But Rei wasn't as stupid as he looked. He soon dropped his weapon and pulled out his own command box, throwing threatening eyes upon the AI.

"You got a lot of nerve, AI...I'm going to report you so the admin can take care of this bug..."

Finally the AI's razor sharp tongue was dulled. Yet at the same time, her mind flared with rage. Bug?!?! He thinks I'm a Bug?!? She bit back her rage a bit, looking at Rei with mild alarm. Either way I'm screwed if he gets through! Her eyes darted towards the keyboard that flashed before Rei and he too had begun typing. The NPC's instinct took control at that very moment.

"Don't you dare--!" The girl launched herself forward, pushing aside her command box. Luck played on her side at that moment and her legs were granted freedom, yet perhaps a second later than she had hoped. The girl flung herself forward, her entire body falling over with the restrictions that pealed off. The girl's form shoved Rei aside as any falling body would do, but the girl's hands flopped over Rei's command box.

Instantly, upon contact, her fingers looked as if they had melded into the pixels on the screen, green silicon wires appearing through the AI's hands and flashed once through the box. All this happened within seconds, and within those seconds, the box literally exploded, throwing a thin small cloud of soot into the air. The girl landed in a loud thud, bracing the fall with wide eyes. Freedom to move clicked into her head the second after she landed and she immediately took full advantage of that.

Her form rolled away from Rei and forced her way back to her feet. She bore an estatic grin, one that you would find on someone who had avoided near disaster. "Let's see you do that again pervert!"

"Yes, let's see you do that again." The voice didn't belong to Rei, no it was much more feminine. Before anyone could question the origin of the voice, wide golden rings formed behind the AI, parallel with the ground. The designs etched on the side of the rings made it look exotic, like a foreign language that existed only in fantasies. These rings were characteristic of Fragment; everyone, with the exceptions of NPCs, could utilize the rings. They were symbols of transportation from server to server, server to field, field to server, anywhere that required access into a new screen. The woman who made her appearance here, it was impossible to tell where she had come from.

It was strange to warp into the root town into an outlying area as this one. Most people usually came through the Chaos Gate. The AI, upon hearing the voice, spun around and took several steps backwards. But by no means was she alarmed. She couldn't be harmed; it was encoded into her data.

The woman that emerged was Rei's height if not a bit shorter. She bore a head full of jet black hair, chin lenght yet frayed out as they neared her shoulders. Her eyes were colored orange, a strange color which made them starkly contrast with her pale skin and dark hair. She was dressed in a dull gray heavy coat, the sleeves missing as to reveal her long sleeved white shirt underneath. Though she bore no visible weapon, it was easy to tell that she was a Wavemaster, but the lack of creativity of her skin showed that she did not have as much enthusiasm for the game as the regular player showed. Or perhaps she concentrated less on her looks and more ont the game.

The gir's eyes were locked on the orange mark on her face, perhaps the trait that distinguished every player from the other. This woman's marking was a simple stripe locking her right cheekbone with the side of her chin. It reminded her so much of a double edged sword for some reason. The woman approached with anything but a smile, but she didn't speak to them at first, but rather to the considerable crowd that formed at the AI's screaming.

"The situation is now under my juristiction. The perimeter will be blocked for the moment being. This will not affect game play. Please return to your game." She paused a bit, shifting her weight onto one leg. "I suppose the phrase goes... 'Nothing to see here, folks.'" The woman shook her head and with a simple wave of her arm, the surrounding players, even the party members who had come to the NPC's defense, vanished, golden rings warping them back to the Chaos gate in the beginning of town.

That wasn't the only thing that happened. For those who stood right outside the perimeter, a yellow stand, striped with black, appeared before them, lining the border with bright signs. Whoever approached was instantly stopped and a sign flickered to life before them.

Off limits. Sorry for the inconvienence. A notice will be posted when the perimeter is cleared once again. Thank you.

The AI felt waves of alarm flow through her now although she was still confident in her safety. This woman was an Admin, but why did she come here? Was she notified by Rei's report? Yet that was rendered impossible. She had destroyed the report and the speed at which the woman came was impossible even if the report had gone through. The AI paused, looking around.

This is bad... I've got a really bad feeling. Really bad! I've gotta find a way out of this...But how? The AI's thoughts trailed off as she landed eyes on Rei. It took her a full minute to comprehend the situation. W-What?! Why wasn't he pushed out?! He--He-- He's gonna rat me out!! I knew I shouldn't of destroyed that report! Oh god what am I gonna do?!

The woman darted a stoic glance towards the girl but turned to Rei. A screen flashed before her and she spoke without making any direct eye contact. "I'm sorry but I'm going to have to keep you for Quarantine purposes. Please remain where you are and do not log out." She looked up, hand still positioned over the screen. Her tone shifted into a stronger formality. "My PC's name is Aeki. I'm the Assistant Head of the Virus Control Department. Don't be alarmed... I'm only here to run a 'check-up'"
