Trekking behind the two, En again looked up towards the sky, a frown slightly spreading. Why am I following these two again...? I'm not a refugee... A glance was passed between the two that walked in front, frown only deepening upon En's face. I really doubt that the so called government would even try to arrest me anyhow... I don't even live here...
The scenery quickly changed from the open dirt paved roads, littered
with paupers into a rather cramped alleyway (ooc: ookay... I'm assuming
our position here... all I know is that there's a fruit stand
somewhere...), one that was encompassed by towering buildings. Not
surprising, the endless wall of stands, food, accessories, appliances
alike, lined the walls even into this deserted space. En couldn't help
but feel as if Elywen was leading them into a trap of some sort, but all
this remained hidden.
En was tempted to speak, and came very close to, if it hadn't been
for the sudden halt of the leaders, Elywen the first to stall and soon
Victor. In fact, they had begun to make a negative progress, stepping
backward awkwardly. En had tried to look forward, only to have vision
blocked by Victor's head. Soon, En was being pushed slowly back, still
trying to find out what the two was so worried about.
"...that stall...” It took En a moment to realize that Victor's
words were in fact the ending of his sentence, one that only seemed to
weird En out even more. Victor's words were already inaudible, but now
he seemed to make frantic gestures with his hands. By now, En had turned
completely around, head turned in such a fashion that it was impossible
to see what the other two had saw.
By now, En's own...unique attitude had gotten the better of any sane
judgment that once possessed this gaunt body. With a wrinkle in En's
brow, a voice flowed from that mouth, clear, loud and by all means,
nearly resounding in this cramped alleyway.
"Must you push so hard?! And aren't we going in the opposite
direction?" With a rather stubborn gesture, En had broken away from
Victor's pushes. It didn't seem that two sentences were enough.
"There are fruit stands everywhere. Must you go for the
ones here? I thought the government was coming, I doubt we have the
luxury to eat fruit. I'm sure we can eat later, nameless. (ooc: ooh.
never introduced ourselves, hm?) Let's just keep going, alright?"
Swiftly turning, En continued to ramble on, noticeably annoyed. The
storm gray eyes were locked in the general direction of the two, as it
seemed rude to neglect any person, beggar or not, of that small
attention. "I didn't even know they sold fruit in this area. There
aren't any trees anyway... Eh?" Turning full circle, En finally laid
eyes on the black garbed men, who had also turned around, laying eyes on
the three. It could only be assumed that they were the government, they
looked the part anyway.
En froze where those thin legs stood, mouth half open in slight
surprise. Finally, as if the coming grin melted away any shock that
formally plagued the air. "Aha! Are these the government officials that
you're talking about? Well well." En bent low, bowing in respect,
muttering all the while. "They don't...look threatening..."
