(OOC: Alright, I dun quite understand how the FMD works, but I'm only going off of what I see in the manga and the t.v show .hack//SIGN. ^^;;; )

Bright light flashed through Rei's FMD, nearly blinding the player if he hadn't closed his eyes then. The earphones blared out the sound of shattering glass mixed with a high pitched screech into Rei's ears. It was only for a split second, but that was enough to break Rei's vision with black spots and leave his ears ringing loudly. Rei's avatar cringed, his gloved hand quickly covering his eyes while his voice muttered curses, each blotted out with asterisks by the parental control.

"W-What the f*** is going on!?" The boy pushed up the visor of the FMD, his hand rubbing his eyes quickly. What was that light? It was brighter than any spell he had seen, but then again, this was an admin. It probably wasn't even a spell. Aeki had said something about running a check up, but why here in the open? Why in the root town? If she had wanted to run a check up, couldn't she have just withdrawn that NPC and taken her to a more secluded area? The boy blinked his eyes several times, clearing his vision from the black dots, but his hearing fared worse. Beneath the ringing in his ears, the earphones let out sounds of battle, and that drew his attention even more.

He pulled down the visor again and opened his eyes only to spot the NPC charging toward him, eyes wide. His avatar backed up, violet eyes widening with shock. "W-whoa! W-what are you-"

"Sorry old man! But you might be my ticket out of here!"

A firm grasp wrapped itself around Rei's arm, stronger than what was expected to come from a thin young girl that her avatar took the appearance of. It wasn't until he was flung forward that he realized there, charging after Kioku, were three female Long Arms, spears poised to thrust. He stumbled their way, colliding into spear shafts and knocking all three down to the ground.

The Long Arm's voices boomed over him in a confusion of words, some directed toward the AI, others directed toward him as they attempted to rise back to their feet. "Sir, please, I'll have to ask you to stay put!"

Rei looked up at one of the Long Arms who stared down at him as her other comrades collected themselves. "Uh... Okay..." Wait... Why did he have to stay put? Did they still want him for questioning? Gimme a break! Rei quickly leapt to his feet, his voice catching the attention of the Long Arm before she followed after the other two. "Hold on... What's going on? I'm so confused..." He looked after Kioku, then turned back to the Long Arm. "It looks like a virus..."

"Please, just stay put. I am sorry for the inconvenience." That was the female's swift response. Of course, she worked for an admin. They were expected to keep everything that involved Fragment's inner workings secret, especially if it dealt with viruses and bugs, because then it was the game's face before the public on the line.

A flash of red light caught the Long Arm's attention, followed by a scream of surprise. All three Long Arms immediately turned their attention to where Aeki stood. "Miss Aeki!"

The wavemaster rose to her feet, turning her blazing eyes over to another wavemaster, one who appeared much like a normal player would. But how was she within the quarantined area? Wasn't the area restricted? "Ayah. I thought we deleted you from the last update." She straightened herself, her expression twisting demonically. It was a side of the admin Rei had least expected. "Well, as I always say, a bitch can never die, and you're the biggest one I know." That was yet another side of the admin that Rei found shocking. He never thought the admin would break their own rules and curse!

The female wavemaster cast the AI a warning expression, then planted her feet firmly on the tiled floor, boldly pointing her weapon at the administrator. "Just because she's an AI gives you no right to kill her. She has a soul, too. Its just different. I won't let you kill another innocent...never again!"
