Wilhelm found himself relieved to have his client seated, to be at eye level again. To have Mirrah standing beside him was enough to make him feel small, but with his client being that
tall made him start to feel vertically challenged. Weren't women
supposed to be naturally shorter than men? How was it that he was
surrounded by women all taller than he was! Granted, he was the youngest
one in the room, he still felt cheated by God.
The boy merchant
cleared his throat under his breath, moving toward the opposite side of
the table. He slipped his burden onto the ground beside him before
taking a seat himself, his eyes assessing his client. He was expecting
to see a nymph instead of a human, but Lorena as a human had quite a
strange appearance. On top of the height, her hair and eye color were
quite unusual. He would've guessed her to be albino, but her skin was
anything but pale and her eyes were yellow, like cat eyes. There were a
number of things that Wilhelm wanted to question Lorena about--her
presence in the room he was positive was empty for one thing--but
decided to leave it alone for now.
Wilhelm straightened in his
seat, locking his eyes with Lorena. "So, Miss Setha'elle. To what might I
owe the pleasure of this meeting?" One hand reached down, patting the
suitcase at his feet. "Are you interested in one of my wares perhaps?"
