OOC: My apologies for being so late!

The NPC forced a grin on, watching the blademaster look accusingly at her. It was something she had never felt before, but somehow knew exactly how to act. The fraying ends of her shoulder had continued to dissolve, already eating up the majority of her shoulder. Her arm looked barely suspended now, but as long as the internal data, the core of herself, remained intact, the arm should remain functional. But trying to act like any other NPC proved harder than normal. She had to remain oblivious to that wound and the flying particles, but the urgency of the moment ate at her from inside.

"Fine, tell me about this event-thingy."

Perhaps the exact response that she didn't want. Her plastered smile waned the slightest bit. Crap! Tell him about this event?! I don't even know anything about it! Argh! Just make something up! Anything! Her perfect smile had begun to crack and she quickly forced words out, anything to keep looking robotic and unsuspicious, even if she already roused a great amount of it.

"U-Um...You... have chosen 'Tell me more!' option! And now you have caused this specific NPC character no end of trouble!" She paused, mouth still open and realized her mistake. Well crap. The AI quickly grinned again, clasping her hands together in a business-like manner. So much for not suspicious... Okay, play it cool... He probably didn't realize anything! These words are supposed to be pre-made by a real admin anyway! Let's just hope he thinks the admin are crazy, not me...

"In any case, the event down at the--the fountain head is really uh-- quite simple. We have set up a ring and... and, uh, two characters choose to enter the ring and fight to the end!" She paused again, quickly waving her arms to accompany her speech. Yet that only seemed to make her wound unravel quicker. Soon the air was flickering with her skin, filled with confetti almost. "Well...well n-not really to the end, you see. It's just a phrase that the admin really like to use--I mean!"

She jerked to the side a bit, her grin spreading again. Again her waving commenced except slower and more at waving the particles away from her face. "It's simple, they'll uh... drop orbs every time a person uh... hits them. And the goal of the game is to collect all the orbs possible! That's right! T...The match is t-timed! 30 miiinncondsec... Er... right... Minconds... Seconds...and minutes put together! Aha! My bad..."

This is NOT working! I'll completely disintegrate by the time I convince him! Agh! What am I gonna--

"Hey! AI!"

The NPC flinched, her grin instantly dropping off of her face. She spun around, eyes widening with alarm and fear. Rei was there, his sword raised and in the reflection of the sword, she saw her own form slain, reeling over and fading away, and in that place came the numbers, experience points awarded to the murderer. Rei's face bore the grin of a demon.

"Got hit, huh?" Her hand instinctively grasped onto her shoulder, the data again suppressed by her hand. Even though now she showed the ability to comprehend, a skill that could never belong to an NPC, she couldn't care less about Balmung's impression of her now. She resisted the urge to snap back at him, and instead found another way out.

The AI backstepped slightly, her grin returning. Without looking at Balmung she spoke. "Right! The rings... We installed more than one! They--pop up at random! And here is YOUR match!" She made sure to remain somewhere nearby Balmung, hoping that he would at least buy that much of her bluff and try to protect her, yet at the same time she made sure that escape was still an option should Balmung turn against her. The AI jerked her free hand forward, freely pointing at Rei.

"Beat the crap out of him!"

OOC: Yay! My post!

Alright, before I forget, lemme say this. It'd be wise to create MORE THAN ONE CHARACTER because these ARE players, and real life people. Even the most hardcore gamer needs to eat, unless he keeps like a minifridge right underneath his computer. Even then he has to shower some time.

And I'm thinking about creating a separate rp thread thingy for the message board that Fragment's supposed to have. Feel free to play either your characters or others. (At this point I'm trying to figure out how that works...)
