Only here to run a check-up?! There's no way that she'd come here just for that! If it were just that... then--then--
"Non playable character, Kioku model 3-14. Fragment Corp. Designed
to act as a FAQ for new players. Station, Delta Server: Village of
Requiem. Huh."
A light gasp came from the NPC, noticing already that Aeki had
turned her direction. She locked her stoic eyes on her, filled with the
expression of formality. It looked as if she Aeki regarded the girl as
nothing but data. The idea troubled the girl and yet she tried her best
to look like nothing but data, the exact information which the makers
used to make NPC's come alive. So the girl made no motion, remained
perfectly still and tried her best to just look robotic. It was only
when the NPC took her eyes off of Aeki that she noticed the faint orange
glow in the far corner, glinting over Rei's shoulder.
Who the hell...? How did someone get into here? The girl's
eyes turned to the source of the light, orbs adjusting to the needed
distance to see. And there was another girl, a wavemaster who bore a
rather comical hat. For a second, the life sparked in her eyes and in
them flashed images of purity, a golden being floating in a world of
white. The girl's thoughts ran rampant, thoughts not of her own. She could be the key who...
Aeki's voice cut into the girl's thoughts. Surprisingly, Aeki had
moved in behind the NPC, the screen before her now emitting a light blue
glow which transferred to her hand. "This shouldn't hurt."
Alarm immediately bolted through her form. The girl wanted to spin
around. Aeki raised her hand, the glow trailing and immediately thrust
her fingers into a point on the back of the NPC's neck. The glowing
burst into a bright light, penetrating the girl's skin where it looked
as if Aeki's finger delved into the data layer. The NPC's voice
screeched through her mouth, eyes wide open and data streams flashed in
the whites. Soon her entire form flowed with a data stream, the colors
of her skin vanished, leaving nothing but an outline and the numbers and
letters that composed her. Soon Hexagonal shapes flashed into being
around her, compressing and then expanding only to disappear just as it
came. An ear-piercing sound of glass braking echoed through the
Quarantined area. Aeki's eyes, nearly blinded by the severity of the
light, was pushed back with the hexagons that appeared and expanded. Her
hand was thrown away from the NPC's form and Aeki stumbled back,
catching her balance before falling over.
The girl, likewise, stumbled forward, gasping for a breath. The
colors of her character returned but that provided no comfort. Her eyes
were wide with fear now and she spun around, staring bewildered at the
admin. S-She disabled my firewall!!
Aeki returned the NPC's gaze with a glare of her own and she
screamed, orders intended for an army that had yet to make its presence
but watched with all the watchful eyes of a hawk. "Disabling Root Town
Attack Lock! It's vulnerable! Take it down now!!"
The NPC's eyes flashed in anger. If she let herself get caught, it
would mean the end of her. The girl's eyes instantly locked on Rei's
sword which he left carelessly laying on the ground. Without another
hesitation, the girl launched forward, her hand swiped up Rei's sword
and she grasped it with both hands. Data or not, the sword required a
good amount of strength, one of which the NPC was not equipped with.
However, she handled with as much precision as a normal Heavy Blade
would. The girl swung the sword upward, adjusting weight to her feet for
balance.
Aeki gasped, quickly jumping back to avoid a massive attack which would have painfully damage her weak wavemaster body. It's using the disable attack lock to attack me? It's a more advanced virus than I thought... The NPC followed her upward swing with another downward one, throwing all the weight down to the tip.
Instead of dodging, Aeki raised her hand, a spell unraveling out on
her tongue. "Shield!!" A barrier formed right when the words were
spoken. Normally a basic protection spell, this one acted rather
differently when attacked with the NPC's sword. The massive blade sliced
right through the Shield yet the entirety of it all failed to pass
through. Instead it lodged itself into the barrier, rendering it
immobile and useless. The NPC's eyes widened yet no amount of tugging
seemed to loosen it.
Aeki had succeed in stopping Rei's blade yet she didn't stop there.
Soon enough three female long arms appeared, golden rings revealing
their form. They all had the same skin, golden hair tied back into a
high ponytail, a silver mask covering a great majority of their forehead
and face, leaving only their chin exposed. They wore a breast plate
over chainmail accompanied by gauntlets and greaves. They bore the same
marking as Aeki which only signified that they were of the same team.
They wasted no time, charging forward at the NPC whose grasp
remained situated around the massive sword. The girl gritted her teeth
and jumped back, releasing the sword and her only source of protection.
The spears they wielded flashed forward, skimming the NPC's character
skin by a hair.
"Not good!!" the girl gasped, stumbling backward. She desperately
caught herself in mid turn, instantly taking to escape. Upon passing
Rei, the NPC took hold of his arm, craning her head around to see the
long arm knights. "Sorry old man! But you might be my ticket out of
here!" With inhuman strength, she thrust Rei towards the knights,
forcing them to change from an offensive position to a defensive just to
ensure that he remained unharmed.
That would only slow them down, the girl knew this. She had to find a
different way out. Her eyes locked on the previous wavemaster she had
seen earlier. The girl with the orange light. If she had found a way to
get into the Quarantined area, then she had a way out.
OOC: Sorry for the longness!! @___@
