En had followed Elywen without a moment's hesitation. The agents wouldn't follow after them immediately, anyone could have predicted that. They moved in sly ways and even if they didn't follow suit quickly, their eyes would be locked on their prey like hawks to mice. Any shelter would do, but what surprised En most was the towering building that Elywen darted towards. The giant statue, perhaps once the goddess of Mercy, was now nothing more than a beheaded stone carving, adding an even heavier air of sacredness around. En frowned, locking eyes on Elywen. We're not taking shelter here are we...?

To En's utmost disappointment, the barricaded doors proved only to lead them to another entrance, which Elywen quickly darted towards. En bit back a heavy sigh, following after her with less enthusiasm.

The church held heavy traces of dust, the air almost hard to breathe in. Opening the doors only seemed to throw everything airborne. It had been abandoned long ago; that was what the dust blankets spoke in their flight. En's pace slowed upon entering, storm gray eyes surveying the church for any potential threats. It was empty, but the entire place only made En drown in misery.

With a loud thump, Victor dropped into a sitting position upon one of the wooden benches, leaking blood onto the dust covered pew. "It's been so long...”

En cast him an awkward glance, eye brows raised. It was an expression usually shown on that pale skinned face. It was obvious that Victor held some ties to this church, ties that brought back memories. Victor caught En's glance and wasted not a moment's breath to lash back.

"Hey, what the fuck is with you? Why are you such a creep?" The words, though they usually wouldn't have any effect on En, struck a nerve this time. En slowly looked away, an apologetic look crossing those weary eyes. The chase had worn away some of En's former arrogance, and Victor only received silence. He turned away also, quickly muttering.

"I owe you both my life. Thank you. My name is...Victor."

"Victor...huh." En spoke the name with slight interest, casting a side glance at the wounded boy. "That's nice..." Looking away, nonchalance returning, En took in the entire breath of the church. For a moment, it seemed as if En never intended to introduce.

The walls of the church were covered in stained glass windows where light streamed through in bright ribbons of color, a sight worthy of royalty. In the distance, the echoes of a once magnificent chorus run through, carrying to En's ears, as it was only En's imagination, words of God. The sounds only made En frown more. Damn...I hate churches...

En cast a sidelong glance at Victor again, refusing to take a seat. "Hmph. It's En." Their eyes never met. Even if Victor looked back, En only turned away, brows knitted into a frown. "Or whatever it is you want to call me. Creep has a nice ring to it, if you prefer."
